summary:
we are seeking an entry-level technical writer 1 to join our team and play a key role in creating, developing, and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation. The ideal candidate is a highly inquisitive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for transforming complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. This role will involve working closely with software developers, engineers, and product teams to support new product launches and software updates, ensuring all documentation meets our high-quality and compliance standards.
key responsibilities:
documentation development:
* create, develop, and edit user manuals and instructional guides for new software, as well as update existing manuals to reflect software upgrades.
* produce accompanying step-by-step "how-to" documents for various user-facing tasks.
* write and publish release notes for new software versions.
* create and edit whitepapers and other technical marketing materials as needed.
* assist in writing and editing requirements documents and test cases.
content management & collaboration:
* manage documentation templates, version control, and folder structures to maintain organization and consistency.
* attend technical meetings and keep accurate meeting minutes.
* provide writing support for other software development-related assignments as needed.
* collaborate with various users and technical staff to gather information for documentation.
* peer review all documents for clarity and accuracy, with a specific focus on readability for non-native english speakers.
compliance & quality assurance:
* test software applications to ensure functionality aligns with documentation and to verify compliance with medical or other relevant standards.
* make necessary changes to policy documents to ensure they are current and accurate.
* produce all documentation in conformance with company quality assurance standards.
required qualifications:
* education:
bachelor's degree in english, communications, journalism, information systems, or a related field.
experience:
0-2 years of professional experience in technical writing, journalism, or a similar role.
* technical skills:
* familiarity with manufacturing environments and processes.
* demonstrated proficiency with content editors such as wiki, wordpress, blogspot, or similar platforms.
* strong working knowledge of google suite (docs, spreadsheets, presentations, calendar, and email).
* proven technology-savvy mindset and ability to learn new software and hardware quickly.
* english advanced (c1 - professional)
