basic function
under the supervision of the manager industrial engineering/quality, this position is responsible for coordinating the quality assurance activities to ensure that products meet specified quality requirements. It is also responsible for verifying that the inspection criteria for the received material are met. Maintain all documentation up to date, regarding each one of the products manufactured in the plant.
responsibilities
* responsible for the quality audits during all shifts, to ensure compliance with quality system requirements and appropriate specifications.
* analyze failures or defects in the packed ware audit process to identify and correct root cause problems.
* responsible for the inspection of the received and/or purchased material, to ensure compliance with quality system requirements and appropriate specifications.
* verify that the procedure of the tests in the fit test and pack area are followed.
* provide training to the quality personnel in everything related to their work.
* develop and maintain quality procedures and methods using the iso standards and guidelines.
* have all documentation regarding the product ready and updated for its use.
* work with some suppliers to improve their performance and quality.
* record and distribute field complaints to the appropriate person in the process for corrective and preventive actions and monitor the effectiveness of these actions.
* work with the new products engineer in order to fulfill the quality standards for any new product.
* responsible for the verification of the tools and other instruments used in quality audits and in the fit test and pack area, to check and compare the characteristics of the product against the product's specification.
* organize the performance schedule for all tests that need to be done during the week, and follow the schedule.
* participate in iso 17025 standard (nom), as the person who signs the official reports.
* keep standard work studies updated for the quality and receiving area.
* keep and improve 5s standard in the quality and receiving area.
* comply with the health and safety roles and responsibilities established for this position.
skills/requirements
education: preference bachelor degree in engineering.
experience: preference 1 or 2 years of related experience in quality.
formation: preference knowledge of iso 9001 and 17025. Preference english at least 80%.
