Role:transportation specialist location:remote in mexico key skills:excel, transportation management system (tms) fulltime permanent position with hcltechoverall responsibilities:the transportation specialist will be responsible for supporting our e-commerce transportation operation for north america. The specialist will work with carriers, customers and internal stakeholders to execute daily transportation management functions following documented sops and providing status updates to the hiring manager. Spanish (reading/writing) is a must.daily responsibilities:1. Track and trace e-commerce shipments in north america (sales, returns, trade-ins, replacements) to identify possible delays and create action to troubleshoot. 2. Analyze weekly and monthly on-time delivery metrics (otd) for north america. Proactively collaborate with the transportation carriers for root cause analysis and action plans. 3. Resolve escalations from customers and/or internal stakeholders regarding shipment status all the way until resolution by collaborating with transportation carriers and other teams/functions (customer support, fulfillment, 3pl). 4. Own transportation system configurations needed to support operations in north america. 5. Support transportation requirements for ongoing cross functional projects.mandatory skills/qualifications:4 to 5 years of transportation experience, or warehouse experience. (preferably in parcel transportation) bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Proficient in microsoft excel, google workspace, sql and tableau. Strong analytical and problem-solving experience, combined with strong business judgment and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner. Able to navigate ambiguity in work to find issues and work with the appropriate teams to fix/find a solution. ability to follow up with cross functional teams. Must be detail oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency. Outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills to deliver results. Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as the market develops in unpredictable ways, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude.preferred skills/qualifications:experience operating within a transportation management system (tms). Prior experience working with major parcel carriers, such as dhl express, ups, and fedex.
