Job titlewe are seeking a skilled distribution center cost accountant to lead our financial operations.manage the monthly accounting close of inventory accounts and warehouse & physical distribution expenses, reviewing and approving journal entries and completing monthly financial reports.oversee general ledger accounts residing in the trial balance of the site and the income statement of the inventory item, including formal reconciliation and analysis in cooperation with the shared services center.analyze monthly variances in warehouse and physical distribution expenses, distribution center specific kpis, and coordinate financial improvement actions.verify and approve the financial impact of cost-saving initiatives.develop and manage the expense budget for the distribution center, reviewing and approving business cases.lead the annual review of the standard cost.maintain effective sarbanes oxley and internal controls on site, including control documentation and application as required by company policy.perform and monitor inventory cyclical and physical counts to ensure data accuracy.implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.approve inventory adjustments and movements.support annual internal and external audits.ongoing responsibilities may include ad-hoc projects and other tasks as dictated by business needs.requirementsto succeed in this role, you should possess:a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.skills and experience:a minimum of 3 years of experience in cost/finance accounting control within a manufacturing or distribution center environment.mastery of an erp system, preferably sap.basic experience with consolidation systems, preferably onestream.ability to analyze large volumes of data using microsoft suite applications.exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.demonstrated leadership qualities and experience working within cross-functional teams.bilingualism is a plus.
