In charge of the tax area, responsible for the monthly and annual tax installments calculations, aligned to income tax, value added tax, holding payroll taxes, other holding taxes, and laws. Coordinate maquila cost plus mark up invoices and collaborate in the close month process for immex and usa books. Coordinate and follow up external (statutory financial statements) and internal audit. Vat presented in a timely manner and submitted proper and correct information for collections. In charge of having alignment with the authority on a monthly basis, teamwork with the finance team locally and corporate level, and aligned to the close month deadlines.
responsibilities and activities
* perform and be responsible for calculation and payment in a timely manner according to sat’s deadlines.
* high knowledge and application of the main income, vat, safe harbor, etc. Mexican laws.
* maquila monthly calculation invoice plus the mark up.
* annual income tax forecast aligned with the monthly income tax instalments.
* knowledge and experience in making accruals, mainly for social security, income tax, benefits (christmas bonus, school bonus, fund savings, food bonus, medical insurance, etc.).
* income tax comparative scenarios to avoid over income tax payments.
* vat collections submission in a timely manner.
* follow up and properly close of any authority’s (social security, infonavit, secretaria de finanzas / economia, sat) requirements.
* define deadlines, coordinate, follow up and close of open issues list due to authority requirements, internal and external auditors (statutory financial statements).
* prepare and submit in a timely manner all related to inegi and secretaria de economia.
* complaint with the mex gaap (nif).
* support the organization's efforts toward continuous improvement.
* align with the organization's objectives and values.
* use judgment and limited experience to plan and achieve goals.
* demonstrate teamwork by collaborating with other entities to improve overall performance and service levels.
* establish and maintain the entity's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
* participate in physical inventory counts and inventory valuation.
* schedule and manage the company's annual audit by external auditors.
* prepare required links and working documents as requested by financial auditors for the annual federal and state income detection.
* prepare quarterly, annual statements, and federal payroll tax returns.
* maintain general accounting, including journal entries and records.
* prepare all related tax reconciliations.
* reconcile all accounts to subsidiary records.
* ensure compliance with environmental and climate change policies.
* foster an environmental culture.
* ensure the competence and development plans of staff directly involved with the environmental management system (sga).
education / experience / skills
* bachelor’s degree in accounting / tax and 5 years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of both is required.
verbal skills
ability to draft complex reports, correspondence, and. Ability to communicate effectively with clients or associates of the organization.
mathematical skills
* ability to apply concepts of calculus and accounting.
* strong mathematical skills required.
* solid financial and presentation skills.
