We are looking to hire a talented and committed technical vendor manager for our growing engineering team to play a critical role in managing amazon's fast growth and technology innovation needs. * lead end-to-end technical vendor management to deliver large-scale projects.
* evaluate and simplify procedures and improve team structure.
* lead technical program reviews and drive schedule acceleration and cost savings.
* deep dive on technical details and lead problem resolution as needed.
* communicate project status and facilitate decision making.
* address critical path items and escalate risks to leadership.
* partner with procurement and engineering to deliver commercial and technical outcomes.
* collaborate with engineering/project delivery teams to deliver equipment to site.
* provide equipment projections to procurement and partners for best value and competition.
* coordinate information between teams; pursue process optimization.
* understand operational processes and travel up to 50% across latam/emerging countries.

basic qualifications:

* bachelor's degree
* 4+ years in industrial/operations/manufacturing or project engineering in a manufacturing environment
* fluent in spanish and english (b2+)

preferred qualifications:

* knowledge of autocad, vba, and sql (intermediate)
* experience with third-party vendors
* experience with six sigma, lean manufacturing
* desirable: french, polish, arabic, portuguese, turkish, afrikaans, zulu
