As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing cost analysis for new products and evaluating the cost impact of temporary component substitutions.key responsibilitiesperform detailed cost analysis for new products, analyzing data to identify areas of improvement.analyze product variances, identifying trends and making recommendations to optimize costs.evaluate the cost impact of temporary component substitutions, ensuring that changes do not negatively affect overall product performance.develop and maintain bills of material and routings for new or period-based products.review and analyze cost variance reports, bills of material, and system routings to ensure accuracy and efficiency.collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer parts or items between plants.provide analytical support as required, utilizing data-driven decision-making skills to drive business growth.ensure all reports are thoroughly reviewed and verified for accuracy.verify that quantities for manufactured parts are correctly entered into boms, and routings for manufactured parts are loaded correctly based on mtm studies.enter item costs correctly into the system, and print or store cost reports, boms, and routings in the system as required.obtain information from involved parties regarding changes made to the system, and document processes accordingly.establish, implement, maintain, or improve the quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards.communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding changes made to the system, and inform engineering managers about progress and changes in the cost system.develop and implement improvement projects and/or six sigma projects to drive continuous process improvement.requirements:associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.minimum 2 years of related work experience.strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.bilingual english/spanish proficiency is an asset.knowledge in basic electricity principles is essential.
