Overview The Network Engineer I is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the corporate data and voice network and ensuring the highest level of availability.
Key Responsibilities Configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of voice and data network components across an enterprise WAN
Design and implement data and voice network architecture in a secure and cost effective manner
Work closely with voice and data communications vendors to resolve network-related connectivity issues
Support the company’s voice communications platforms
Work with peers to complete team projects while maintaining customer service
Planning and coordination of network changes for office moves/consolidations and new office openings
Planning and provisioning of voice and data communications infrastructure including routers, switches, voice gateways, cabling, circuits, and wireless technologies
Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
2+ years of IT work experience in network environments performing network engineering, design, planning, implementation, administration and support
Good English Communications skills.
Knowledge of voice communications systems including experience with Avaya, Microsoft Teams, Ring Central, and Intelepeer
Able to work well in a team environment
Able to communicate well with users and vendors, as well as other members of the team and department
Able to mentor members of the IT Service Desk, and willing to assist in a support role when necessary
