general objective
the product development manager leads the creation, design, and improvement of products, ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards (iatf 16949, iso 9001, iso 14001, iso this role ensures efficient, innovative product development aligned with market needs, promoting continuous improvement and compliance with international regulations.
specific responsibilities
product lifecycle management:
supervise all phases of product development, from research and design to commercialization, ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability standards (iso 9001, iso
regulatory compliance:
ensure that all products under development comply with quality (iso 9001), environmental (iso 14001), and safety (iso standards, as well as industry-specific requirements such as iatf 16949 for the automotive sector.
innovation and continuous improvement:
promote innovation in products and development processes, applying continuous improvement principles aligned with iso standards and industry best practices.
multidisciplinary team management:
coordinate product development teams, including engineers, designers, and other departments, to ensure development is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
risk assessment:
identify and evaluate risks during product development phases, ensuring corrective measures are implemented to minimize impacts on safety, quality, and the environment.
market and trend analysis:
analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
product testing and validation:
oversee product testing and validation to ensure compliance with established quality, functionality, and safety requirements.
technical documentation:
ensure all technical documentation, development reports, and test records are properly managed and meet iso certification requirements.
general requirements
education: university degree, in industrial engineering, product engineering, mechanical engineering.
languages: advanced english (desirable)
experience: minimum 5 years in product development
in-depth knowledge of iatf 16949, iso 9001, iso 14001, and iso 45001 standards and their integration into product development.
experience in product design and lifecycle management.
knowledge of design, simulation, and product testing tools.
knowledge of agile product development methodologies.
ability to work in dynamic environments and adapt to rapid market changes.
cad (computer-aided design):
experience using cad tools (autocad, solidworks, catia) for product design and modification.
cam (computer-aided manufacturing):
knowledge of cam technologies to support manufacturing and prototype testing.
