Act as a business partner with the operations departments and other entities & regions to ensure alignment on financial goals, strategies, and deadlines. Accounting acumen – accrual & reclassifications posting and management; account/cost center-level reviews; p&l/balance sheet knowledge. Financial acumen – bridges, variation, trends, and analysis generation & presentation; active participation in budget and forecast processes. Ensure that the company doa is being followed – purchase requisition approvals. Intercompany processes knowledge. Capex processes knowledge. Enforce internal control and best practices – help as a point of reference for other parties on the best courses of action.
