* the branch operations manager is responsible for full operational leadership of the guadalajara
* distribution center, including warehousing, logistics, safety, financial performance, and cross-border execution.
* the role oversees import/export activities in coordination with the import manager, ensuring compliance with usmca, immex/maquiladora, and u.s.–mexico trade regulations while maintaining efficient border operations.
* this position is expected to develop a strong trade compliance capability as part of its operational
* leadership responsibilities.
site & operational leadership
* lead all warehouse and distribution activities
* own site p&l, budgeting, and cost control
* establish kpis for inventory accuracy, service levels, safety, and productivity
* drive labor efficiency and operational improvements
* maintain facility and asset management oversight
cross-border logistics & trade oversight
* provide oversight and direction for daily import/export operations, working closely with the import manager
* ensure proper usmca qualification processes and supporting documentation are maintained
* oversee compliance with immex/maquiladora requirements and associated reporting obligations
* review and validate hts classifications and country-of-origin determinations
* ensure the accuracy and completeness of customs documentation and filings
* manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure efficient cross-border operations
* ensure documentation integrity and maintain audit readiness for customs and regulatory reviews
* monitor regulatory developments impacting cross-border trade and guide the organization in adapting processes accordingly
transportation & border execution
* manage cross-border trucking and delivery performance
* minimize premium freight and border delays
* resolve clearance and documentation issues
qualifications to meet minimum requirements:
* 7+ years of operations or dc leadership experience
* 5+ years of exposure to us–mexico import/export regulations
* working knowledge of usmca qualification rules
* 4. Familiarity with immex/maquiladora program
* 5. Experience working with customs brokers
* 7. P&l experience preferred
working conditions:
office environment with some exposure to plant conditions.
