we are seeking a seasoned civil engineer iii to join our growing international team in monterrey office.
as a senior engineer, you will lead the technical development of land development projects, oversee design work from concept to final construction documents, and mentor junior team members. Youll use your advanced technical knowledge and civil 3d expertise to drive innovation and deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
key responsibilities:
* lead the design and development of complex land development projects.
* review and oversee construction documentation for grading, drainage, and utilities.
* serve as a technical point of contact for junior and mid-level engineers.
* support project managers with design direction, risk identification, and quality control.
* collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
* maintain compliance with company standards and local regulations.
* participate in internal reviews and project coordination meetings.
skills & qualifications:
* advanced english communication skills (c1 or above).
* at least 7 years of experience in land development or site civil design.
* mastery of civil 3d, including corridor modeling and utility networks.
* experience in technical drawing and design for grading, surfaces, water networks, roadways, and highways.
* strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
* strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* knowledge of sustainable design principles and environmental regulations.
* excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* familiarity with qa/qc processes and regulatory compliance.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field (master's preferred).
* a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in civil land development.
* fluency in english is required; spanish proficiency is a plus.
* autodesk civil 3d certification preferred.
* pe license or in-progress registration is a plus.
* familiarity with bim or gis tools is advantageous.
