Overview

this position is designed to support the commercial management of sales executives. They provide administrative and commercial support to the functions of both inside sales executives and outside sales. The sales support team is assigned a portfolio of clients divided into maintenance and development clients. Based on account potential and development opportunities, it can be reassigned to internal or external sales teams. This parameter will be defined by the team leader and the commercial management.

responsibilities

* transmit service issues communicated by customers to the teams responsible for management.
* support executives in the entry of contract lines and tenders.
* support executives in the negotiation and entry of lines of the conditions of days off.
* support executives in the application and entry of the tli's.
* creation of partner codes and registration of new accounts, coordinating with the customer support team and partner code team.
* dispute resolution.
* request discounts to finances and their income.
* creation of mid to create new contracts for customers and registration of rates.
* development of the assigned portfolio and its growth through commercial management based on strategy dictated by the line.
* plan and follow up with clients based on the assigned portfolio.
* promote non-maritime services with clients of the assigned portfolio (vas, ceva, e-ecommerce and intermodal).
* attend and develop training, webinars or courses assigned in the e-learning platform.
* participate in the exchange of information regarding market rates and relevant information with trade and other areas of the commercial department.
* centralize and escalate topics reported from pricing/spot to the team leader.
* follow up on booking issues related to routes or freight that are not reflected in the system.
* be aware of vessel capacity, service rotation and general route information.
* identify duplicate codes in customer systems and elevate them with sales effectiveness.
* inform relevant parties when a client accepts a proposal or contract.
* request exceptions for delays and detentions in the system.
* promote the use of pricing information.

what we look for

* experience and knowledge in product, pricing, customer service and sales strategy at entry level.
* ability to price simple configuration requests and use sales/quoting systems.
* attention to detail, ability to multitask, and mathematical proficiency.
* knowledge of the distribution industry.


qualifications

* one year of experience in configuration, sales or related role with strong customer service exposure in a tech or product support environment.
* associate degree in business, it or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; product/supplier certifications as required.
* distinctive characteristic: entry-level first-call response for assigned territory customers.
