as demand planning analyst in mks, you will partner with production planning, marketing, business units, procurement, engineering, npi, production and it areas to build an accurate forecast through the siop process, ensuring that the company meets its strategic objectives and evaluates complex scenarios to solve supply constraints. In this role, you will report to the demand planning manager.
what you’ll do
* examine historical shipments, marketing/category trends—including consumption—and utilize statistical forecast tools.
* collect forecast information from sales and marketing by item, week, customer and geography, and document the assumptions used in developing the forecast.
* lead the siop process and provide tactical initiatives to improve kpis related to the end‑to‑end process.
* maintain or train someone to maintain the demand forecast for all product lines.
* adjust the forecast or make recommendations to adjust the forecast through every demand cycle.
* complete all required education and training and participate in implementation and development of new forecasting software.
* serve as the first contact for sales and customer marketing (trade) regarding variances outside tolerance and in gathering building blocks/assumptions applied to forecasts.
* develop strategic scenarios to evaluate risks and opportunities in each business unit.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or supply chain, or equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of relevant experience working in a diverse and global supply chain organization with a wide range of products.
* demand planning or leading experience across multiple products.
* oracle proficiency is highly preferred.
* experience with excel, outlook and word.
* game‑changer mindset is highly preferred.
* apic cpim certification (optional).
physical demands & working conditions
perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time; require good manual dexterity and coordination; occasionally move or position objects up to 20 pounds; remain in a stationary position for 20% of the time; frequently position self to perform tasks and position objects below, at, and above shoulder level; operate in a professional office environment with a computer and other office productivity machinery; observe documents and details at close range; and maintain average noise level in the work environment.
