key responsibilities:
* support the mapping, documentation, and updating of processes and work instructions based on quality and food safety management system requirements.
* control and promote the communication of processes and programs developed.
* evaluate potential raw material suppliers and co-packers from a quality perspective, including quality certifications and food safety standards.
* determine quality standards from suppliers and co-packers, monitor implementation, revise, and update as required, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* determine a co-packer and supplier audit program regarding their quality standards.
* develop processes to evaluate raw material inspections and acceptance with different suppliers and warehouses.
* perform and follow-up internal and external audit programs.
* lead and document communication with other companies' quality departments, which may include customers, suppliers, or partners.
* maintain updated information on gfsi certifications to monitor with suppliers and customers.
* manage customer complaints with the team of order management & customer service, executing internal research, root cause analysis, final resolution, and follow-up of established actions.
* manage prerequisite programs (ppros) of the management system, such as traceability and product recall, contingency program, crisis management, etc.
* develop traceability processes and implement them internally and with suppliers and co-packers.
* record keeping control of all companies' certifications, including supplier records on quality certificates, company certifications on quality, compostability, or related products, and monitor re-certifications or renewals.
* ensure proper recovery of system documentation (records).
* review technical data sheets of all products, current and new developments, to ensure qfsms requirements are met.
* create raw material and finish product coas.
* manage product databases from suppliers, including product information, certifications, visuals, and marketing information.
* inspect pallets from supplier's facilities for shipment releases.
* collaborate with various departments, such as operations, innovations, logistics, supply chain, procurement, sales, and marketing.
requirements:
* english for business.
* chemical, biochemical, food engineer, or similar degree.
* experience in haccp and gfsi certifications.
* 5+ years of experience in food service companies.
* demonstrated experience working with co-packers.
