Job descriptionthe electrical distribution system (eds) campaign prevention is responsible for leading and coordinating activities to proactively prevent potential field failures and customer issues related to edsand itscomponents.this role involves a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and collaborative teamwork to ensure the robustness and reliability of eds designs and manufacturing processes.
the ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of failure mode analysis, risk assessment, and quality control methodologies.responsibilitiesparticipate in global eds campaign prevention process per gpds timing (unit timing and program timing)lead campaign prevent training for eds organization regionallymaintain campaign prevent history checklist and deep dive health chartsmentor us, fom, eu, img and china teams in campaign prevention as neededperform & report out virtual deep dive (cad fresh eyes reviews and design documentation) events for eds:plan workload for team, schedule team meetings, review documents and evidence of design robustness of failure mode causes for vehicles.
coordinate events/support with eds technical specialists.perform & report out on physical vehicle fresh eyes events for eds:identify issues, work with d&r teams for resolution and closure, work with eds core to document prastrack and provide management reporting of eds compliance to above deliverablesco-lead/maintain industry recalls matrix for eds working with eds technical specialistslead pra development and implementationworking with fom eds technical specialistsstop ship / pac / 8d root cause, ica, pca facilitation and supportmentor teams in problem-solving activities to prevent recurrence of failures and customer issuesparticipate in routing quality assurance reviews and work with d&r teams for resolution and closurequalificationsrequires: bsme/bseeadvanced english skillsself-starter with excellent teamwork, leadership, communication skills and a quality mindsetprevious pvt and/or plant launch experience desirable with good understanding of the vehicle assembly and eds manufacturing processesgood organizational skills and the ability to plan and perform multiple tasksgood understanding and working experience with engineering foundation documents: p-diagram, boundary diagram, dfmea, robustness checklists, dvp, sccaf, pfmea, control plan, etc.strong understanding of lv eds / eds systems required and hv eds is highly desired.candidate should have the ability to travel locally and out-of-town to vehicle assembly plants for fresh eyes reviews and for supplier reviews.
travel out-of-town is typically 4-5 days, periodically, during launch.may require working outside of normal local working day to be able to interface with other regions in different time zones.
