o support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a import/export analyst located in guadalajara north
reporting to the import/export manager the import/export analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and executing quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products, with a strong focus on electronics manufacturing and robust server‑grade assemblies.
what a typical day looks like:
1. manage all imports and exports through airlines, haulers, and customs.
2. may have p&l control for a department.

3. reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions.
4. interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment.
5. selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders.
6. maintain accurate import compliance within the site for all inbound international shipments.
7. implement and maintain record-keeping system to comply with u. S. Customs.
8. make entry adjustments with u.s. Customs when necessary.
9. may perform regular audits as deemed mandatory with several departments to identify, disclose and work to fix any potential import compliance concerns in alignment with trade compliance coordinators.
10. may code international freight invoices for inbound shipments, as well as domestic truck load shipments to unipersonal departments within the site.
11. may research short paid invoices and resolve any related issues.
12. may maintain and update inbound/outbound carrier routing guide for site per corporate logistics guidelines.
13. may distribute routing guide to purchasing, shipping and various other departments.
14. notify departments within in the site of any non-compliant issues.
15. may file claims with the carrier/insurance companies per the corporate logistics procedure for compensation of lost/damaged freight while in the care of the carrier.
16. may maintain claims data and interact with corporate logistics and insurance company/carrier to resolve claim issues/questions.
17. communicate with purchasing and manufacturing departments to hold up in part clarification.
18. interacts with corporate trade compliance to ensure import/export compliance processes are up to date to meet u.s. customs rules and regulations.
19. ensure u.s. customs guidelines are followed by vendors, purchasing, broker, site logistics and other accountable parties.
20. classifying importing items with correct harmonized tariff schedule (hts).
21. ensure food and drug administration, federal communications commission, u.s. Goods return forms and fumigation certificates are provided and on file for parts requiring this information.
22. notify members of the site's compliance team should a discrepancy in the audit be noted and drive escalation as appropriate to resolve issue.
23. correct and file entry documents for entries identified.
24. maintain certification of origin (coo) database used to identify non-compliant vendors.

26. may prepare rate comparisons between carriers.
27. track international shipments and may track domestic shipments.
28. provide proof of delivery for shipments.
29. may research freight issues.
30. audit special need deliveries to identify issues and concerns.
31. file or assist with filing of freight claims for international and domestic shipments.
32. may maintain and update carrier routing guide.
33. may train various site departments on usage of carrier routing guide.
34. arrange expedited shipments by request to meet customer needs.
35. may coordinate international truck load shipments.
36. may audit domestic and international inbound carrier freight invoices.
37. may address issues regarding freight invoices with carrier and payment company.
38. may identify ways for freight and cost savings.
