job summary
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management, transportation engineering, or related field.
* experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in a tier 1 supplier environment.
* knowledge of jit/jis logistics operations and automotive supply chain processes.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* experience with erp systems, sap, tms, and logistics software.
* advanced proficiency in microsoft excel and data analysis tools.
* excellent communication and coordination skills.
* ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* english conversational skills proficient- must
* automotive tier 1 experience is a must
* experience minimum 4 years in automotive industry (must) as traffic and logistics engineer

* it’s difficult to access the plant- for this reason it´s important that the candidate must have her/ his own transportation or another alternative to get to this site.

responsibilities
* analyze and optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and delivery schedules to support just-in-time (jit) and just-in-sequence (jis) operations.
* coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and manufacturing plants.
* monitor transportation performance indicators such as on-time delivery, transit times, and freight utilization.
* develop and implement traffic management strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
* ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
* collaborate with production, supply chain, purchasing, and customer service teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
* manage carrier relationships, negotiate transportation services, and evaluate logistics providers.
* investigate and resolve transportation issues, shipment delays, and supply chain disruptions.
* support continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.
* prepare logistics reports, transportation analysis, and performance metrics for management review.
