University internships: manufacturing - 2025 opportunities
during the internship you will participate in focused training, attend team meetings, work on projects and present your results. You will be supported by a buddy and your manager to ensure a valuable learning experience. Coaching and mentoring will help you complete assignments and projects, developing your learning and skillset.
you will also become familiar with the health, safety, and environment (hs&e) and the culture of baker hughes, as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
the internship duration is 6 to 12 months, starting january 2025 through july or december 2025.
responsibilities
* assist with day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, including monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
* participate in quality control and quality assurance processes, inspecting products for defects and ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications.
* identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
* collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
* prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
qualifications
* currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's level degree in engineering, technology, mechanics, other stem‑related or business‑related program.
* maintained a gpa ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country.
* fluent in oral and written english with effective communication skills.
* willing to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
