manufacturing design & implementation is a distributed team of project managers, technology experts, and specialists with a diverse group of backgrounds and deep operational knowledge. We lead technical projects across our manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on internal logistics and automation. Our work spans a wide range of advanced technology platforms, supporting the continuous evolution of our global production footprint.
in this role, you will lead projects and initiatives aimed at significantly growing the level of automation within the lego group manufacturing operation. Your efforts will directly support our strategic goals—driving efficiency, improving flow, and enabling a smarter, more agile factory network.
core responsibilities
* lead end-to-end logistics automation projects – from initial concept to final implementation.
* define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, it, operations, procurement, and external suppliers.
* drive technology integration by introducing and implementing innovative automation solutions that improve factory efficiency.
* handle partners and communication across global locations to ensure alignment, transparency, and progress tracking.
* identify risks and develop mitigation plans to keep projects on time and within scope.
* ensure compliance with internal standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
* continuously improve project delivery frameworks to increase efficiency and scalability of logistics automation initiatives.
* monitor and report on critical metrics and roi of implemented solutions to demonstrate value and drive future investments.
qualifications
* experience in leading projects with diverse scopes in a manufacturing environment.
* proven experience in automation projects and managing suppliers of equipment and machinery.
* excellent indirect people leadership skills, effective with both internal collaborators and external suppliers.
* lead continuous improvement in both products and processes.
* experience within production and/or engineering function in medium/large international companies.
