The regional sales manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's product andservices in a specified region, major geographical area or customer base. The rsm grows newbusiness in new and/or existing customers by focusing on opportunities that are in theidentified vertical markets and are of the right revenue potential. Must be able to hunt andwin new accounts, at the same time as maintaining and growing share of existing accounts. Inaddition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning andtechnical development of products and services.*key areas of responsibility and essential position functions:1. Manage revenue and profitability of territory and/or account base:2. Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales professionally and expeditiously.a. develop sales and marketing proposals (i.e. Quotations) for customers on technicalproducts & servicesb. develop and present technical presentations & workshops for customers and / or staffc. maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulationsd. make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leadse. close deals & finalize contracts
