responsibilitiesuse multiple operational processes to correctly receive, process and dispatch high‐value freight in accordance with individual customer requirements while complying with all regulatory, company and iso requirements related to the storage and movement of goods to worldwide destinations.support the manager/team leader by performing additional defined duties, including short‐term work allocation, conducting procedural checks, resolving exception situations, and reporting.ensure that issues are resolved or reported to the correct department or area and that supplies of daily consumables are sufficient.perform defined security and safety checks on freight/goods and comply with all legal, regulatory and iso requirements when operating equipment, processing, storing and releasing freight/goods.perform periodic and defined procedural checks or audits on key processes and report compliance.coordinate schedules of receivables with carriers to ensure timely and efficient turnaround and progress all deviations from the agreed schedule.receive bulk freight, including dangerous goods, from multiple carriers/customers, checking paperwork for completeness and accuracy.handle carrier and customer queries by providing correct information or escalating to the appropriate area.offload vehicles and ulds using mandatory safe working practices, split within defined sort parameters and place in appropriate locations.inspect freight in accordance with defined procedures, performing visual checks to identify shortages, overages or potential damage, and report immediately to the driver and relevant area or department.use appropriate equipment to perform physical put‐away of freight to the designated area(s) and verify that the product matches the paperwork.perform a physical count to check sku, quantity, serial numbers, etc., and report using defined documentation.use appropriate equipment to pick goods in the required sequence, ensuring all details (sku, quantity, serial number, etc.) are correct and verify the accuracy of the pick list against the customer's actual documentation, reporting exceptions to the relevant area.pack goods according to each customer's defined requirements and any legal or dangerous goods requirements, sign the pick & pack documentation and accurately complete all relevant information before sending details promptly to the office.prepare goods for dispatch by matching labels to the appropriate goods and moving goods to the relevant area.dispatch goods to the approved carrier, providing guidance when needed on the correct procedural checks to ensure that the goods are accurate and complete.use equipment to correctly load freight/goods in accordance with the driver's specific requirements.process all types of returns (receives, checks, allocation area, reporting, etc.) in accordance with defined procedures and specific customer requirements.contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures by providing relevant operational information and expertise, ensuring solutions are viable, cost‐effective and efficient for the warehouse.provide standard and ad‐hoc verbal and written updates or reports summarizing key warehouse performance statistics or issues at agreed times.perform all related support duties, including covering other areas and operating in contingency situations while following required procedures.qualificationsexperience in a fedex scs warehouse operation with a good knowledge of the operation and the requirements of its key customers.competence at picking and packing with a good knowledge of relevant working methods.good planning and organizing skills with the ability to determine and coordinate sequences of tasks for self and others.experience working effectively with multiple work processes and procedures.good interpretation skills with experience translating customer‐specific instructions into actual requirements.basic skills in using technology, e.g., scanner, printer, intranet, with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
