responsibilities
* reporting to the vp finance and it, cfo, the controller is responsible for providing financial insights to executive leadership, addressing escalations related to accounting, order to cash, and procurement to pay transactions, and improving working capital to ensure operational efficiency.
* oversee the company\'s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with mexican laws and regulations.
* manage accounting systems, lead budgeting and forecasting, provide financial analysis, support internal and external audits, and collaborate with executive management to develop financial strategies and policies.
* track and analyze key performance metrics, offer actionable insights to enhance visibility for execution teams and control framework effectiveness.
* identify process improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, supporting robust compliance frameworks.
* support the implementation of a new erp (d365) and establish cross-functional relationships to achieve results.
* participate in local treasury activities including cash management and forecasting and lead monthly/annual working capital budgeting and forecasting updates.
* ensure the consistency and continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures to gain efficiency.
essential requirements
* bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; a master’s degree is nice to have
* minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles
* experience with non-modernized platform systems (e.g., dynamics, netsuite, pace) and sap; otc, ptp, atr processes; us gaap, internal controls, and external audit
* knowledge of financial information standards, us gaap, sox
* knowledge of mx tax laws and regulations, and awareness of the latest tax requirements
* earlier experience in finance modules in erp implementations

* strong leadership and team management capabilities
