we are looking for a supply chain coordinator to join our supply chain team, based in tetla, mexico.
main responsibilities:
1. maintain relationships with control management, sales, commercial, and transport service providers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
2. manage budgets and control distribution and customs costs.
3. manage the reception of raw materials and finished products through mrp within sap erp, with support from purchasing and control management.
4. coordinate and manage the monthly inventory of all materials, including raw materials and finished goods.
5. use excel to manipulate sap data extracts to determine needs and actions for maintaining optimal inventories.
6. communicate clearly and concisely across all organizational levels, from associates to management.
7. manage distribution operations, including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, supplier management, quality, and customer service.
8. ensure operational objectives are met, including cost, safety, schedule compliance, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, supply levels, customer service, and employee productivity.
9. oversee shipping and receiving functions, including scheduling, dispatching, and on-time delivery.
10. maintain accurate inventory control and planning, including physical inventory counts.
11. manage and develop the operational team, including planning and scheduling staff activities in warehouse areas.
12. promote a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
13. participate in continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as six sigma.
14. handle all customer shipping issues, including claims for loss or damage.
15. ensure compliance with foreign trade activities and programs.
candidate profile:
education: degree in engineering (logistics, international trade, or related).
experience: over 8 years of relevant experience.
skills and knowledge: advanced english, planning, statistics, personnel management, foreign trade, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse management, and distribution center operations. Proficiency in sap.
personal attributes: results-oriented, strategic thinker, innovative, creative, team player, customer-focused.
knowledge of management policies such as iso 9001, iso 14001, iso 45001, and iso 50001 is a plus.
