join arrivia as a platform engineer iii (azure cloud devops engineer). You will design, implement, and optimize our enterprise azure infrastructure, automate critical processes, and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
arrivia is a global leader in the travel industry, with brands including ice, sor technology, and wmph vacations. This role is based in mexico and supports our devops engineering team.
what you'll do
* design and build cloud-native applications using terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
* develop and maintain robust ci/cd release pipelines using azure devops.
* optimize and scale infrastructure with a focus on cost efficiency.
* automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency.
* demonstrate a deep understanding of core cloud technologies and major concepts.
* contribute to shaping the team's cloud development and operations practices and methodologies.
* collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative cloud-native solutions.
* develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cloud solutions.
* stay up-to-date with latest azure cloud services and best practices.
* occasionally work weekends or after hours as part of a shared 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
who you are
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with a strong focus on azure cloud technologies.
* proven expertise with terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning.
* proficiency in azure devops for ci/cd pipelines.
* solid understanding of cloud concepts, architecture, and industry best practices.
* extensive experience building native azure cloud applications and infrastructure.
* strong scripting automation skills using azure cli and powershell.
* in-depth knowledge of security best practices with azure entra id and managed identities.
* experience with app services, key vaults, storage accounts, azure sql, front door, networking, monitoring.
* exceptional communication and collaboration skills; highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
* english proficiency is required.
bonus points if you have
* bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
* experience with microservices and kubernetes (aks).
* knowledge of api gateways and api platforms.
* familiarity with full-stack development (angular & .net/c#).
* experience incorporating sast into pipelines.
* microsoft certified: devops engineer expert.
* microsoft certified: azure administrator associate.
* microsoft certified: azure developer associate.
