The npi (new product introduction) engineer is responsible for coordinating the introduction of new products and processes into the manufacturing plant. This role ensures, in collaboration with all engineering functions, that all necessary documentation, processes, tooling, facilities, and infrastructure are prepared and ready for mass production. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams—including quality, design, maintenance, testing, manufacturing, and planning—to meet product launch deadlines. Additionally, the npi engineer acts as the primary liaison between the manufacturing site and global teams to facilitate information exchange and effective follow-up on npi activities. The role also includes setting and monitoring project schedules, tracking key deliverables, and documenting incidents to guarantee their proper resolution.

perfil de puesto
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, business administration, or related fields.
* preferred master's degree in business administration (mba) or specialization in operations management.
* between 5 and 10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in related industries.
* at least 3 to 5 years of experience in an npi or project manager role.
* proven leadership and management of cross-functional teams.
* strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.
* ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
* knowledge of erp/mrp systems (e.g., sap, oracle).
* effective verbal and written communication skills.
