you are a detail-oriented, fast-working content editor passionate about refining instructor-sourced content into engaging, conversational, and seo-friendly pieces. With strong storytelling abilities, you know how to shape content that resonates with readers, making complex topics clear, compelling, and accessible to learners.
your exceptional grammar skills and fluency in both english and spanish allow you to edit and adapt content seamlessly for diverse audiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing speed and precision to ensure content is polished and high-quality. Your ability to work across teams, communicate effectively, and adapt to evolving content needs makes you an essential part of our editorial process.
about this role
as a foundational member of the mexico city seo team, you will be responsible for reviewing, refining, and seo optimizing instructor content, and augmenting that content with ai into clear, compelling, and human-centered content that helps learners discover their next great course or topic of interest. Fluent in both english and spanish, you’ll ensure grammatical accuracy, readability, and consistency with our brand voice. You will play an important role in our seo team, collaborating with content strategists, agencies, and marketing teams to create the highest quality content possible.
what you’ll be doing:
* editing, enhancing, and transforming machine-generated text into clear, compelling, and optimized website content, blog posts, and other online material designed to enhance the learner experience.
* review, refine, and optimize ai-written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
* ensure that new content is engaging, conversational, and optimized for seo.
* maintain consistency in tone, style, and voice according to brand guidelines.
* improve readability by restructuring sentences, adjusting word choice, and enhancing flow.
* accurately translate content into spanish, ensuring the tone, meaning, and readability remain consistent while adapting for cultural nuances and audience engagement.
* work with the product development and engineering teams to publish content in an ongoing, timely manner.
* work collaboratively with subject matter experts (smes) to refine content and verify key insights.
* catch and correct factual errors or inconsistencies.
what you’ll have
* at least 12 months of experience in content creation, copywriting, editing, and proofreading content.
* familiarity with creating and contributing to content calendars is a plus.
* familiarity working in and publishing content in wordpress is a plus.
* basic familiarity with ai and llm tools and how they work.
* basic understanding of the latest seo best practices as they apply to e.e.a.t content creation.
about your skills
* strong communication and conversational storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in different countries.
* approach content writing and editing with a strategic focus on credibility, accuracy, and value for an audience.
* proactive & organized: ability to manage multiple project timelines.
* experience with producing content for readability, using headings, bullet points, and concise paragraphs.
* fluency in both written and spoken english and spanish.
