Senior trim product engineer
summary trim product engineer is responsible for the feasibility analysis and trim development of seat products, finish pattern design independently, complete the seat trim development of the product and samples according to the requirements and of the program timing plan. Global program experience and strong communication skills.
responsibilities: design optimizes wrapped parts solutions, including pattern, seam development, substrate features, and recommended assembly methods lead and coordinate the timing for trim deliverables during development phase of the product support design review meetings with customers and internal teams. Participate and lead csw actions in the sdt meeting also with the plants utilize internal and customer milestones to guide the launch process deliver design within engineering budget and bom cost targets finish and manage the trim bom, drawing and pattern data release, lead the trim prototype sample building, proceed the design verification, and design improvements in the plant participate in continuous improvement (va/ve) activities and workshops improve the relevant trim documents of the existing products and capture lessons learned release patterns in the tcplm system through cr/cn process travel to support customer and launch needs (15%-25%)
education: bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 + years cut-sew-wrap and/or pattern development in automotive seating field
experience: proficient in: optitex/gerber applications and other development means and tools language skills: fluent in english. Mid-range computer skills: office software, auto cad/ catia proficient, teamcenter prior experience working on a global team and/or global program and various time zones familiar with various development files such as bom, fmea, dvp/pvp, 2d drawing/gd&t knowledge in 5 quality tools (apqp, ppap, fmea, spc, msa) and other related statistical tools
