As a security officer specializing in cctv and access control monitoring, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the building’s assets. The primary responsibilities include operating and managing cctv surveillance systems and access control technologies to detect potential security breaches, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities. The role focuses on monitoring and responding to security events, mitigating risks, and creating a secure environment for clients and their assets.
essential functions
* support the manager, protective services, in developing and delivering the syntax security strategy regionally and globally as required.
* conduct regular inspections of access points, checking for security vulnerabilities and ensuring that all access control devices are functioning properly.
* monitor multiple cctv screens and video feeds to identify potential security threats, theft, vandalism, or any suspicious behavior.
* promptly react to incidents by assessing the severity of the situation and escalating it to the appropriate authorities as necessary.
* maintain accurate records of cctv footage, incidents, and actions taken during each shift.
* conduct investigations and loss prevention activities.
* participate in company-wide information security awareness and training activities.
* research and stay aware of new governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, standards, and regulations.
* participate in company-sponsored and industry-relevant workshops, conventions, and working groups.
* support the implementation of policies, standards, and procedures to assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as good security practices.
* collaborate with and support all other departments in the execution of company objectives.

* experience in creating and maintaining security related documentation to meet audit and regulatory/compliance needs.
* must be self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
