purpose of role

part of the regional record to report organization. In charge of setting the accounting procedures needed to properly book full business transactions based on us / local gaap standards. This person works with accounting professionals, fp\u0026a and business partners in system and work processes issues by executing root cause analysis that prevent the accounting team from booking manual entries at month end (kpi). Also responsible for e2e coordination of mec, audits and project activities as well as high quality analysis of financial information by using/developing key bi / excel tools.


your impact

* execute end to end balance sheet account reconciliation in line with success criteria
* provide guidance on key business activities executed by functional areas
* trigger root cause analysis based on accounting guidelines (us gaap and statutory accounting)
* promote work process improvements in accordance with internal controls and external compliance
* complete high quality variance analysis to enable top management decisions
* prepare blackline documentation and submit data as per corporate accounting guidelines
* be the accounting key user for project implementations or work process / system improvements
* act as the subject matter expert in charge of providing perspective to corporate / local accounting and fp\u0026a partners
* support internal control activities along with business partners and internal controls manager
* design bi reporting to increase overall accounting analysis on balance sheet and p\u0026l
* share timely and accurate information required by local / global auditors
* work on month end close activities in line with regional calendars and overall expectations
* plan, align and execute work plans based on organizational priorities
* experience in tax calculations.
* support activities that help to create organizational culture by clearly identify roles and responsibilities across areas


qualifications

* bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting
* 3-4 years\u2019 experience in accounting organizations
* familiarity with corporate financial accounting systems (sap preferred)
* excellent computer skills on excel
* understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
* fluent in english

base compensation

$282,142.00 - $387,944.70 mxn

most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. your role:

* oversee local tax and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with mexican tax regulations (iva, isr, etc.) and internal accounting standards.
* review and manage financial statements, reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.
* lead tax-related projects and support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and tax authorities as needed.
* act as a key contact for tax matters in mexico and support the head of tax & accounting in strategic initiatives.

*your skills*:

* excellent communication skills in both spanish and english.
* 5-7 years of experience in tax roles, ideally as a coordinator or supervisor with increasing responsibilities.
* strong knowledge of mexican tax legislation and practical experience in tax planning, compliance, and audits.
* solid background in accounting processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
* proven ability to lead projects and work across teams — prior team management is not required but considered a plus.

área: fundaciones y áreas sociales banco

se requiere que el tax manager tenga un enfoque contable, financiero, y fiscal del banco. Manejan dos fundaciones: fomento cultural y fomento social, estos pertenecen a un vehiculo legal distinto al banco porque son entes legales que persiguen un fin sin lucro. Algunos de los proyectos de fomento social son: los temas de ecología, emprendimiento, asistencia social, voluntariado, sustentabilidad, apoyo en desastres naturales. Algunos de los proyectos del fomento cultural son: cultura, exposiciones, proyectos de calidad artística, arte popular, edición de libros.

tareas principales:

en la parte fiscal, el regulador es el sat, esta posicion es responsable de cuidar el cumplimiento de todo lo que requieren estas fundaciones ante el sat se trabaja muy de la mano con el área de tesorería de los fomentos para la operación de recursos. Elaborar el plan financiero y el presupuesto que tienen las fundaciones. Llevar el control presupuestal de las áreas sociales del banco. Atención a auditorías internas y externas generación de estados financieros

requisitos indispensables:

* licenciatura terminada en contabilidad, titulado indispensable.
* ingles intermedio - avanzado
* mínimo 5 años de experiência en áreas de contabilidad e impuestos.
* excel medio avanzado (tablas dinámicas, macros sencillas)
* manejo de algún programa de registro contable: full suit, oracle, contpack
* experiência generando e interpretando estados financieros
