Overview

the narm training institute is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented executive assistant to provide direct support to dr. Laurence heller, founder of the neuroaffective relational model (narm), while also supporting the broader operational flow of our organization.

this role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, helping information move smoothly, and supporting meaningful work behind the scenes. The position combines executive support, organizational coordination, scheduling, communication management, and light technical support within a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.

the right candidate is highly trustworthy, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team. This role requires someone who can communicate thoughtfully, exercise good judgment, stay organized, be mindful of details, and navigate changing priorities and evolving organizational needs with steadiness, discretion, and professionalism.

this position begins at approximately 10–15 hours per week, with potential to grow into a larger role within the narm training institute over time.

key responsibilities
* help manage and organize dr. Heller’s email communication, including: responding to select inquiries, identifying emails requiring delegation or follow-up, clearing promotional and non-essential inbox content, while also ensuring important communication does not fall through the cracks
* coordinate and maintain dr. Heller’s paper and electronic calendars, including ensuring scheduling consistency across calendars and google invitations
* support logistical coordination related to meetings, invitations, teaching events, and scheduling requests, including all individual appointments tied to the narm post-masters fellow program
* provide occasional on-site technical support in west los angeles, including support with devices, cameras, phones, ipads, zoom setup, and related technology needs
* work with confidential, personal, and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
* help develop and maintain systems that support information management and workflow between dr. Heller and the institute
* collaborate closely with the nti administrative team and report directly to the director of operations

this is not a traditional corporate executive assistant role. We are looking for someone who can thoughtfully support both a founder-level figure and a collaborative organizational team within a mission-driven environment.

requirements
* ability to travel to west los angeles approximately once per month
* strong written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and discretion
* comfort working within google workspace and broader technical proficiency in a variety of platforms
* ability to both work autonomously and collaboratively within a virtual work environment
* proactive approach and ability to think ahead, with the intent of meeting the larger goals
* experience with social media platforms and website management a plus
* interest in psychology, and developmental trauma a plus
compensation

$32–$37/hour depending on experience and fit, along with paid sick leave and reimbursed necessary business expenses.
