The role will support the controller in overseeing the financial close process, product costing, and internal financial reporting. The ideal candidate should bring a solid background in finance and accounting within a manufacturing environment, possess strong analytical skills, and have hands-on experience with sap and data reporting tools.key responsibilities:• assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process in accordance with corporate timelines and standards.• ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.• maintain and analyze product costing structures, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.• support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and answering audit inquiries.• generate and analyze operational and financial reports for plant management and corporate stakeholders.• collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., operations, supply chain) to support cost control initiatives and process improvements.• ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and internal controls.required qualifications:• bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.• 5-10 years of experience in a finance or accounting role within a manufacturing environment.• strong knowledge of sap erp (particularly fi/co and product costing modules).costing and sap to lead the team as is required from an asst controller position• proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (excel, power bi, or similar).• understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost systems.• familiarity with financial close and reporting cycles.• high attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.• strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.• fluent in spanish; professional proficiency in english.preferred qualifications:• experience in the automotive sector or maquiladora environment.• exposure to sox/internal controls and audit support.• knowledge of ifrs or us gaap is a plus.
