you will be responsible of implement and support the operational excellence and high-performance organization strategies in the plant.
coordinate the optimization of production lines and standardization of processes through continuous improvement activities and industrial engineering, in all areas of the plant using lean-six sigma techniques, divisional standards, kaizen workshops, ensuring compliance with the savings goal of the plant, as well as developing the skills of collaborators in problem solving techniques (lean practitioners, green and black belts).

manage plant utilization through footprint master plan and layout evaluation of new projects.

responsible for the calculation of direct labor required to produce in the plant according to customer releases / maximum volume, expected efficiency and operating strategy, ensuring consensus with plant and department management.

give support in the start-up of new projects*
- participate in the early stages of new projects to ensure the development of efficient processes focused on safety, quality and productivity.
- ensure that best practices and lessons learned are implemented and standardized.
- organize vsm workshops to ensure that the entire process is mapped in the most efficient way.
- propose error-proofing technique solutions that exceed industry standards.

ensure compliance with oip project savings*
- design the resource optimization strategy with the department managers to create the project portfolio and ensure that the annual plant savings goal is exceeded.
- coordinate the execution of projects with multidisciplinary teams.
- establishing periodic review sessions with plant management and updating information in the system

direct compliance with the operational excellence plan and certification of the operational model*
- implement natural work teams / high performance teams.
- coordinate the deployment of the culture of continuous improvement in the plant through the development of "model lines" and divisional standards (5s and visual administration, standardized work, improvement suggestion system, tpm, takt time and line balancing, smed, andon system, pfep, etc.).
- plant certification in operational model (bronze, silver, gold).
- ensuring the implementation of best industry practices.

certification and development of collaborators in problem solving techniques*
- train and follow up / advise collaborators for their certification as lear practitioners and lean six sigma green / black belts.
- ensure that certification projects are directly aligned to the needs for improvement of the operation.
- develop training in problem solving for different organizational levels.
*to be successful in this role you will need*:
*advanced knowledge in industrial engineering and lean manufacturing*
ability to develop implementations of lean production processes, optimization of operational resources, to improve the financial performance of the plant.
*applied knowledge of lean six sigma methodology*
theoretical-practical knowledge of the methodology demonstrating experience in saving projects and problem solving.
black belt or master black belt certification.
*basic finance principles*
ability to interpret the financial performance of the business to prioritize the portfolio of optimization projects to generate high impact.
*management skills*
ability to manage area resources and guide / train staff in lss - problem solving techniques
*knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, welding and assembly)*
have experience in developing optimization projects for production lines in stamping, welding and assembly processes
