responsibilities
* direct and coordinate the administrative duties of the finance organization. Initiate, develop and maintain policies, programs and procedures as they apply to the corporation, division or plant activity.
* plan operation. Provides counsel on matters related to the finance area as it applies to plant activity.
* manage the month-end closing and prepare monthly reports for the site.
* prepare financial budgets and forecasts.
* develop, create, and strengthen internal controls.
* identify areas for cost cutting and improvement.
* drive initiatives to improve operation performance.
* continuous training and staff development.
* collaborate with plant manager and management to explain results, drive improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analyses.
qualifications/requirements
* experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* strong analytical and communication skills.
* ability to lead and develop staff; experience with erp and financial reporting.
