purpose of the job: plan, define, develop and lead the implementation of the people and culture strategy, hr business plan and serve as an hr business partner for santiago & toluca manufacturing plants. Ensure the hr function in the plant pro-actively supports the business objectives of talent attraction, personnel administration, labor relations, and learning and development.


responsibilities

* develop and lead the people and culture strategy and hr business plan for the santiago & toluca manufacturing plants; align with daimler truck north america strategies and local plant strategy.
* collaborate with the center of competence to implement talent attraction and retention strategies to provide the right people in the right positions at the right time.
* foster productive labor relations by maintaining open communication with the labor union, lead yearly contract negotiations, and develop managers and supervisors' relationships with unionized workers.
* supervise personnel administration from hiring through termination, including payroll, organizational changes, and employee services; ensure compliance and readiness for stps inspections.
* co-create and execute learning and development initiatives for both unionized and non-unionized workers; coordinate efforts to develop the organizational culture.
* coordinate engagement: engage, dtes and other employee surveys to promote a customer-oriented, results-driven culture and a positive working environment.
* manage and lead hr projects and initiatives, ensuring on-time and on-budget implementation with cost/benefit consideration.
* support the development and execution of the plant strategy within the manufacturing unit; participate in the plant steering committee and local team to deploy strategies.

* english level: intermediate – advanced b2
* experience: strong experience in hr, labor relations, strategic projects and leading teams
* soft skills: influence and negotiation; effective communication; decision making; conflict management; strategic thinking; analysis and problem solving
* academic knowledge: degree in business management, industrial engineering, industrial psychology, industrial relations, business administration, law and/or related field

main functions

* strategy: participate in the creation of the daimler truck mexico our people team strategy, aligned with daimler truck north america, incorporating local plant needs. Deploy strategy within the plant steering committee and local team.

* personnel administration: oversee end-to-end personnel administration from hiring to termination; ensure compliance and timely communication.
* learning and development: co-create and execute development programs for all plant employees.
* organizational culture: coordinate efforts to develop the organizational culture; promote engagement and a positive work environment.
* employee surveys: drive engagement and satisfaction initiatives to maintain a results-oriented culture.
* projects: lead hr projects with on-time, on-budget delivery and cost/benefit focus.
