Engineering manager (introsmatter) - remote work the role involves managing a professional staff of three to six engineers, coordinating the tactical implementation of international service engineering strategies for the district and south america, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The senior manager will also drive expansion of service, optimize operating expenses, and provide strategic link with region and corporate management. Responsibilities plan, organize, direct, and control the tactical implementation of international service engineering strategies. Select, train, develop, and motivate a professional staff of 3‑6 engineers and administer an annual operating budget of one million dollars. Prepare, analyze, and present special reports on service, manpower, line‑haul, capital equipment, and overall expenses. Plan and direct expansion of service within south america, coordinating manpower and developing systems, projects, and programs to optimize service and reduce operating expenses. Provide strategic link with region, international, and u.s. Domestic management to ensure alignment with corporate strategic planning. Assess operational, service, and product improvement needs and develop programs to achieve these goals. Participate in special task forces or management committees to support these efforts. Monitor and enhance south america’s service systems and productivity through in‑depth operations analysis and program development. Coordinate strategic projects (drive), support business case elaboration, kpi definition, implementation and monitoring. Coordinate volume governance model, forecast, and communication with sales and marketing. Act as p&e focal point with fp&a and ops for expense governance model, providing visibility on stations’ top offenders. Support and coordinate the implementation of multiple dashboards and data analytics for engineers. Coordinate fte governance, staffing approvals, and open position approvals from an engineering view. Report progress of all p&e projects at officer level. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred. Seven (7) years professional experience in industrial engineering in a service industry. Knowledge of fedex service engineering standards. Strong basic management, human relations, communications, and analytical skills. Fluency in english, spanish, and portuguese required. Maestro certification required.
