Industrial engineering role
this is a challenging position that requires strong analytical skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a degree in industrial engineering or a related field and experience working in manufacturing or services areas.
key responsibilities:
* support station/gateways operation on site by analyzing and developing improvement initiatives.
* execute base pdca or dmaic projects to improve operational efficiency.
* prepare and monitor short-term and long-range plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products at the operations.
* assist in providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
* monitor productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of operations and assist personnel in implementing required changes.
* maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
* assist in studies designed to implement sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations and produce benefits for fedex and our customers.
* prepare management information systems to aid in the control and development of the operations goals.
* participate in special staff support projects.
* ensure that operating plans comply with safety and legal standards.
the ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process mapping, and root cause analysis. Proficiency in microsoft excel and strong presentation skills are also essential.
