Position purpose
this position is responsible for the administration and control of technical due diligence studies, reviewing and optimizing soil treatment recommendations provided by the lab. It also includes managing the ofi budget for vendors such as pylons, signage, steel structures, and hvac units.
primary accountabilities
* review and optimize structural designs of stores and pylons created by vendors, including structural calculations for retaining walls and foundation design.
* review and optimize soil reports by thoroughly evaluating the recommendations from the soil mechanics laboratory, auditing laboratories, and questioning proposals to identify errors. Aim to improve processes and reduce construction costs.
* support the construction team in monitoring the project, addressing field questions, and visiting sites.
* follow up on deliveries to ensure they meet deadlines.
education & experience
* level of formal education: bachelor's degree (ba, bs) or equivalent.
* area of study: business or construction.
* years of experience: three to five years.
* experience in the construction industry, especially in fast-track retail construction.
* technical skills: basic computer skills, construction estimating, and scheduling.
* preferred: bilingual capabilities and strong managerial skills.
