Business analysis group manager
the business analysis group manager is a senior management‑level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
responsibilities
* manage multiple teams of business analysts supporting multiple systems or a business‑analysis functional area (depending on size) with responsibilities including work allocation, budgeting and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, staffing and other duties as assigned.
* provide technical leadership and expertise to ensure efficient design, development, implementation and adherence to essential procedures.
* develop strategy and guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements, exercising control over resources, budgeting and planning and contributing to defining standards.
* resolve issues that impact beyond one’s own area, applying in‑depth understanding of business‑analysis concepts, procedures and basic knowledge of other domains.
* work as a team to achieve objectives and influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, communicating with external parties as needed.
* provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse internal and external sources.
* appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm’s reputation and safeguarding citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, while effectively supervising others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
qualifications
* 10+ years of relevant experience.

* consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
* proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines.
* proven ability to use complex analytical, interpretive and problem‑solving techniques.
