Overview
the general ledger manager (sap expert) is responsible for overseeing the gl business process area within a cross-functional team and acts as product owner for the required capabilities to address business requirements. This role includes project deliverables ownership for the gl process and leadership of process design and implementation activities.
essential functions
* share expertise related to finance operating models and process structure.
* understand current manual journal entries (je) and reconciliation processes to foster standardization.
* propose recommendations based on leading practices to address gl-related business and operational needs.
* lead sessions with diverse operational teams to coordinate efforts.
* participate in process redesign through prioritization to identify rational and impact.
* define with the it team the required capabilities for the future process.
* maintain strong, regular communication with project leadership and provide status updates.
* propose mitigation plans for identified risks and issues in a timely manner.
* propose operational and strategic kpis and reports for the future process.
entry requirements
* bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, business administration or related field.
* at least 6 years of experience managing or leading general ledger processes.
* experience in end-to-end (e2e) implementation projects.
* bilingual spanish/english required, b2+ level or higher.
