About the rolein this visible and exciting role, the manager, revenue recognition will lead and supervise a team of three revenue analysts based in mexico city, serving as the primary escalation point for complex revenue recognition matters.this role is critical to aligning the mexico city team with the shared services center (ssc) in india, ensuring seamless global coverage.the manager, revenue recognition will partner with sales, legal, sales operations, and pricing teams, play a trusted advisor role for customer contract negotiations, and perform contract review for revenue recognition compliance.the ideal candidate is able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across many different functions within the business and the finance organization.a successful applicant will have a strong working understanding of asc 606 with experience in application of the standard to a saas business model in the tech industry.further, the candidate must excel in managing and understanding a wide range of issues and business models that could be driven by acquisitions, revenue recognition requirements, and strategic shifts in go-to-market strategies.responsibilitieslead and develop a team of 3 revenue analystsserve as a trusted advisor for customer contract negotiations and perform contract review for revenue recognition complianceensure full alignment with the ssc team in india for 24-hour global coveragework with sales, sales operations, pricing, and legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognitionwork with the global revenue recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain sox complianceengage with external auditors and understand/respond to the changes in the audit approachestablish standard contract structures for both existing & new products and work cross-functionally to maintain a scalable quote-to-cash processlead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the company, and in particular within the sales organizationkeep up with industry trends and build relationships with external technical accounting advisorsmaintain documentation for all review and compliance work completeddeliver the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross region customer servicedrive continuous improvement in revenue recognition processes and controlsrequired qualificationsbachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience required.experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)3-5+ years relevant revenue recognition experienceverbal and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences as well as high level executivesfluent spanish and englishproject management skills including planning, task assignment, status tracking and reportingpreferred qualificationsprimary audit and asc 606 experience in saas/software industrycpa strongly desiredportuguese is strongly preferred given leadership collaboration needs with brazila blend of public accounting and industry experienceteam player who is able to work with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams while championing diversity of team, thought, and opinionability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company where adaptability is imperativeinterpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and in writing, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to analyze complex issues and communicate solutions clearly ?
