job description
primary function of position
the senior logistics compliance analyst is responsible for managing import and export compliance procedures and international trade programs, including supply chain security (c-tpat, aeo), trade data integrity, duty drawback, free trade agreements, reconciliation, and more. This role involves supporting logistics compliance strategies, ensuring adherence to regulations, and advising management on strategic initiatives.
essential job duties
- perform import/export activities in compliance with regulations and company policies.
- manage issues related to tariffs, country of origin, classifications, eccn, and government programs.
- manage compliance with trade programs and issue certificates.
- responsible for customs reconciliation and anti-boycott programs.
- audit and maintain data governance records.
- create and update compliance manuals, policies, sops, and guidelines.
- research regulatory requirements for new markets and communicate findings.
- collaborate with it to streamline import/export data processes.
- monitor trade policies and maintain c-tpat compliance.
- manage import/export permits and licenses.
- conduct risk assessments and follow-up with improvement plans.
- provide training on import/export requirements.
- support global compliance projects and generate performance reports.
- develop operational processes and procedures.
- define audit guidelines and communicate policies.
- assist sites, suppliers, and customers in compliance improvements.
- perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
qualifications
required skills and experience
- expert knowledge of customs, fda importing regulations, ear, and census requirements.
- strong understanding of classification, free trade agreements, and training skills.
- analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- ability to multitask, organize, and make decisions reliably.

- experience in risk management and regulatory compliance.
- knowledge of supply chain security and duty drawback programs.

education and training
- bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in trade compliance/logistics in medical devices.
- licensed customs broker or similar certification.
