job description

in mexico shared services centre we “revolutionize global financial services with humane profitability”.

1. advanced processing of invoices: lead the processing of invoices using as400 and qad erp systems, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
2. reviewing and verifying: ensure all invoices and check requests are accurate, properly authorized, and comply with company policies.
3. automation: champion the use of ap automation tools to streamline invoice processing, reduce manual entry, and enhance overall efficiency.
4. accounts management: for electronic payments: oversee the timely processing of invoices for weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
5. reconciliation: regularly reconcile accounts payable transactions, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
6. utilities and rents monitoring: monitor and process payments for utilities and rents, ensuring no suspensions or disruptions in services for canada and the usa.
7. compliance and reporting:
o regulatory compliance: ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, staying updated with changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
o reporting: support month end activities by preparing and analysing ap reports to provide insights and support decision‑making processes.
8. innovation and continuous improvement:
o process optimization: identify opportunities for process improvements, implement innovative solutions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
o training and development: continuously develop skills through training programs and mentor junior team members.


qualifications

* education: major in accounting or equivalent (corporate finance, business administration, economics).
* experience: minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with a proven track record of handling complex ap processes.
* accounting software: proficiency in erp systems like sap, oracle, or microsoft dynamics.
* productivity: consistent productivity level of processing a minimum of 500 invoices correctly every week.
* communication: excellent communication abilities and a customer‑focused approach.

specific attributes:

* automation tools: familiarity with ap automation tools and portals (i.e. Coupa, ariba, etc.).
* data analytics: ability to use data analytics tools (e.g., power bi, tableau) to generate insights and improve processes.
* cybersecurity awareness: knowledge of best practices in data security and privacy.
* english b2 as a minimum.
* spanish fluent
* communication: strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders across different regions.
* problem‑solving: ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
* adaptability: flexibility to work with diverse teams and adapt to different regulatory environments.
* cultural sensitivity: understanding of cultural nuances in business practices across the regions.
* data‑driven: familiar with automation tools, self‑motivated, courageous, and a team player.
* conscientiousness: high level of attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure accuracy and reliability in all tasks.
