be proactive, comfortable selling from the desk, and carry out key actions to close sales in line with your target and quota.
contact contract renewal customers 90 days in advance to identify cross‐selling and upselling opportunities.
lead with all field‐based leads and service recommendations requiring proposal and closing with the customer.
capture the sales lifecycle in our crm system (sfdc).
promote johnson controls' service value proposition to building owners, facilities managers and it managers.
interact with customers daily, identify and offer appropriate solutions or hand‐off qualified leads for opportunities outside your scope to outside sales partners.required qualificationsminimum of 2 years of inside sales, telemarketing selling, or business experienceundergraduate degree or 2‐year degree & relevant experienceundergraduate degree in business, electronics, mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred) or 2‐year degree & relevant experienceproficiency with ms office programs (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook) and internet‐based softwareexcellent verbal and written communication skillsability to multi‐task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelya high level of integrity and resilient temperamentservice‐minded, customer‐centric self‐starteradaptable and able to demonstrate active listening skills and customer empathyanalytical skills and detail orientationpreferred qualifications2–4 years of inside sales, telemarketing selling experience or business experience at a product companyundergraduate degree in business, electronics, mechanical or electrical engineeringtrack record of over‐achieving goalsdemonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levelsstrong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls (8–10 on average) per dayexperience working with a crm databaseability to rapidly build knowledge of johnson control's product lines
