Job description
we are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing or a related commercial role.
* provide competitive pricing to new and existing customers, focusing on driving growth opportunities and increasing profitability.
* gather and analyze data to develop competitive pricing structures for both new and existing customers.
* ensure rate revisions received within the network are updated in a timely manner, properly distributed to the relevant operational teams, and clearly communicated to guarantee billing accuracy and alignment across the organization.

key tasks
* quotes: in conjunction with transcon manager, create quotes for export operations; meet deadlines; review feedback; track and report results.
* procurement & service providers: review and analyze carrier rates; work with carriers to keep rates fresh and competitive; transition & implementation; confirm or negotiate capacity; market update; develop new carriers; conduct quarterly evaluations.
* rate & surcharge maintenance: maintain rate databases; distribute information about increases and changes; follow up and revise expiring rate agreements and contracts.
* general support: provide support for sales/retention on transcon pricing; provide general pricing support; support operational team on quote approval and rate registration; support compliance with policies.
qualifications
knowledge
* good understanding of expeditors’ products and services.
* understanding of freight forwarder industry and special transcon product.
* hazardous materials certification (optional).
