Your role and responsibilities as a back‑end developer for storage, you will design, develop, unit test, and deliver offerings for ibm storage products using agile practices and devops tooling. You will work in a collaborative environment to understand requirements and create creative solutions to client problems, emphasizing fail‑first, fail‑fast methods and world‑class quality. Your primary responsibilities will include: design and develop solutions: design, code, debug, and test creative solutions to client problems and requirements, utilizing programming languages such as embedded c, c, python, react and java. Collaborative problem‑solving: work collaboratively to understand requirements and deliver solutions, using agile practices and devops tooling to ensure world‑class quality and resiliency. Test and deliver offerings: unit test and deliver offerings for ibm storage products. Debug and optimize: debug and optimize solutions using kernel debuggers and user‑mode programming, ensuring strategic imperatives including artificial intelligence and cloud. Support strategic imperatives: support strategic imperatives, including artificial intelligence and cloud, by designing and developing software applications or device drivers for various operating systems. Preferred education bachelor's degree required technical and professional expertise knowledge of software design and implementation. Linux application development knowledge. C & c++ development experience: proficiency in low‑level programming, optimization, and performance tuning. Debugging & troubleshooting: ability to analyze and resolve software defects, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks. Version control: use of git and github. Strong problem‑solving skills: ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues efficiently. Advanced english level. Web development: proficiency in web development using javascript (including modern frameworks such as react or node.js) and understanding of backend development using java. Expertise on database design, query optimization, and schema management, using sql/sqlite. Soft skills excellent communication: strong verbal and written skills to collaborate effectively with global teams. Team collaboration: ability to work well in a distributed, cross‑functional team environment. Time management: ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
