Thermal engineer job summary
the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting full-vehicle thermal analysis using computational fluid dynamics (cfd) simulations to support vehicle development programs. This involves leading transient thermal cae modeling from data collection and cad cleanup to meshing, boundary condition setup, and post-processing.
the position requires collaboration with global teams, cad specialists, cae integration experts, design and release engineers, and other departments to evaluate front-end cooling system performance, under-hood and body component thermal robustness, and cabin human comfort.
a forward-thinking mindset is expected, with a focus on continuously improving cae processes through process improvements, ensuring accuracy, capabilities, cad-to-results turnaround time, and cost-effectiveness.
key responsibilities
