this role leads production teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
responsabilidades
* supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
* lead, coach, and develop production operators and team leaders.
* monitor production performance metrics (kpis) such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and productivity.
* ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* implement and support continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, 5s, kaizen).
* coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, maintenance, logistics) to resolve production issues.
* manage staffing levels, shift schedules, and overtime as required.
* ensure proper use of materials, equipment, and resources to optimize costs.
* investigate and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* maintain accurate production records and reports.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
* strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
* experience with lean manufacturing tools (5s, kaizen, six sigma is a plus).
* bilingual (english/spanish) preferred.
