Job descriptionas a safety data analytics engineer on our team, you will monitor global data sources and utilizes ai-driven tools to identify, analyze, and communicate potential vehicle safety concerns to management and the critical concern review group. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support for safety related inquiries. Additionally, you will drive system improvements through ai and machine learning model training and analytic tool user acceptance testing.responsibilitiesmonitor daily incoming reports from customers and dealers in the field to identify potential safety concerns (ford’s warranty system, customer relations customer call center data, dealer technician technical assistance systems, lawsuits and claim data, reports to governments, etc.) using ford’s concern driven reporting system, quality.ai, and other data tools.support ford’s critical concern review group (ccrg) through data analysis and trend detection.prepare both technical and non-technical documents, presentations, and reports for various levels of management to communicate potential concerns or trends.support the creation and training of artificial intelligence and machine learning based models to enable earlier detection of potential safety concerns.conduct user acceptance testing of aso it systems, including ford’s safety data analytics (sda) toolset.contact dealerships for additional information on reported repairs, as required.provide data and technical analysis in support of government inquiries or other aso assignments, as required.provide technical assistance to ogc (legal department), as required.interface with global data insight & analytics (gdi&a) to support preparation of failure rate projections for concern investigations.qualificationsbachelor's degree in engineering requiredbachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering preferredbachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or data science preferredexceptional data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills, including advanced excel proficiency required.experience building integrated solutions across the power platform, specifically connecting power bi visualizations within power apps preferred.quality or warranty data analysis experience preferred.a strong functional knowledge of vehicle systems, preferably with hands-onexperience in engineering, production, maintenance or repair.ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of groups, including pd, vehicle operations, it, dealerships, legal staff, ford customer service division, and the quality officeability to work efficiently and independently to achieve deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.job infojob identification 59558job category environmental & safety complianceposting date 02/26/2026, 04:14 pmapply before 03/06/2026, 06:00 amdegree level bachelor's degree or equivalentjob schedule full time
