Affiliate marketing manager (fluent in portuguese)

location:

thestrategic partner growth manager (brazil) is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at acceleration partners. Candidates must reside in the us or mexico, have a valid passport, be able to travel internationally, and speak fluent portuguese. Spanish fluency is also accepted.

the role:

we are seeking an experienced strategic partnership development manager with business development and account management experience to support the growth of our strategic partner growth department. The role focuses on the brazil/latam affiliate space, requiring participation in client calls, pitching high value opportunities, providing strategic insights, managing the top 10 partners for clients, and maintaining a proactive, action‑oriented approach.

* publisher performance : contribute to client growth through high potential relationships and publisher optimization.
* performance and placement trackers : follow client‑approved processes for paid placements and partner optimizations.
* subject matter expert : serve as a trusted resource across partners and client verticals, leading conversations and adding value to accounts and the broader department.
business development and publisher relationships
* proactive research : identify and recruit high‑quality partners with strong revenue potential based on client needs, using tools such as apvision and similarweb.
* written and verbal communication : clear, informative, and engaging communication; ask relevant questions during publisher interactions; manage day‑to‑day communication with top publishers.
* initiative : identify and execute optimization opportunities to drive revenue growth.

* relationship management : optimize opportunities with top publishers on behalf of clients, acting as an extension of the client’s business.
* budget management : drive client growth while maintaining healthy roi.
* time management : demonstrate exceptional calendar and time‑management skills.
strategy and execution
* alignment to client strategy and goals : participate in kickoff and ongoing calls, ask appropriate questions, and understand client goals and kpis.
* partnership strategy ownership : create plans for recruitment and paid placement initiatives, including timelines, negotiation, campaign set‑up, and communication.
* strategy pivots : adapt to change, pivot strategies as needed, communicate professionally, and manage client expectations.
pitching opportunities
* client education and alignment : provide necessary information for informed decisions and articulate the value of each opportunity.
* persuasiveness : challenge the status quo, pitch innovative opportunities, and support proposals with data.
* publisher vertical and client knowledge : demonstrate deep knowledge and confidently address client questions.
* tenacity : investigate rejections, push back when appropriate, and propose alternatives.
qualities of the ideal candidate
* aptitude for digital strategies based on publisher business models in brazil/latam.
* network of affiliate marketing relationships in latam.
* skill at rapidly building new relationships for brand‑to‑brand and unique partners.
* self‑starter with strong motivation to hit targets.
* experience with enterprise brands and deep understanding of their business and media challenges.
* proven knowledge of performance and acquisition marketing.
* history of managing partnerships requiring complex organizational decisions.
* commercial sales track record and ability to gain senior stakeholder support.
* data‑driven decision maker with strong analytical thinking.
* excellent communication skills for senior stakeholders.
* attention to detail; ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.

* ability to collaborate with remote teams across time zones.
minimum qualifications & skills
* fluency in portuguese (preferred); spanish also acceptable.
* 4+ years of business development or related experience, including account management, contract negotiations, and marketing.
* experience with enterprise clients in sales or account management roles.
* proven track record of exceeding goals.
* experience in performance marketing, particularly affiliate marketing.
* strong communication and negotiation skills; able to push back without damaging relationships.
* success in a goal‑oriented, high‑accountability, fast‑paced environment.
* comfortable leading client‑facing presentations.
* excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* work from home experience is a plus.
